PAAPAM’s (Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers) director revealed that the customs department accepted their proposal to change the automotive parts custom clearances.
These clearances are done by weighting the automotive parts, which create a lot of loss in custom collection revenues.
PAAPAM had been forcing the custom department to change the rule and make the customs evaluation on a unit basis. This proposal is accepted now, and it seems that this system is set to be completed by the end of October or at the start of another month. This new system will help the custom department to generate more revenues, efficient custom tax collection and also create more jobs.
