Well, the police said that “Regardless of your vehicle’s capabilities, when operating a vehicle your full attention is required at all times to ensure safe driving.” The driver is now charged with reckless driving and endangering lives.

In the past, there were around 5 five fatalities across the world where Tesla vehicles were on Autopilot.

When it comes to autopilot driving, Tesla recommends that drivers should not remove their hands from the wheel despite the fact that the car is using the Autopilot feature.

Tesla has its own autopilot driving assist system which is semi-autonomous driving assist system and has the features like to see through heavy rain, fog and dust, keep within lane and self-driving on highways.

The autonomous vehicle technology is still at the embryonic stage and should not be relied too much upon.

But on the other hand how many roads accidents we have every day without Autopilot. Of course more.
