Steel is environmentally friendly. Steel is fully recyclable and can be produced with a relatively low amount of energy.

The steel industry has been making progress in limiting environmental pollution. The technology has been now quite advanced, which helped in reducing energy consumption as well as reduced carbon dioxide emissions to the environment.

Steel is the world’s most recycled material and is also one of the easily recyclable materials. Its magnetic properties help it to be easily recovered from the waste for recycling. It does not matter how many time steel is recycled; its properties remain unchanged.

The electric arc furnace (EAF) method of steel production is the main route to recycle steel.
