How to pray Taraweeh at home with family (congregation/jamaat) or individually?

  • 1

During the lockdown, the mosques are closed in most countries to avoid the spread of the virus. In such a situation, it is not possible to pray Taraweeh with jamaat (congregation) in mosques.

What should I do in such a case?

Should I pray individually or ask family members to join me in praying?

Praying individually is fine, but praying with family or jamaat may bring more blessing. The jamaat reward is 25 or 27 time more than praying individually.

The below image may give you a better idea of how to pray.

I think you would not be able to finish the Quran in Taraweeh as in Jammat unless you are a Hafiz Quran. However, it is not compulsory to finish (listen) to the Quran in Taraweeh. Inshallah, Allah will give you all the reward for your good intentions. It is all about intentions.
