Why Yahoo disabled comments section on Yahoo News articles?

  • 1

I no longer see comments on the Yahoo News. It says “Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting”

For the obvious reason- most comments were written by ignorant and racist. I think Yahoo should close it permanently. The comments section do not any good except helping keyboard warriors to unload their rubbish thoughts.

I think Yahoo saw its writing on the wall after what Facebook and Google had gone through.

There had already been complaints on http://www.change.org and other platforms and I think yahoo has done the right thing to disabled the comments.
