Italy is trying to create a one giant broadband service provider by combining Telecom Italia and Open Fiber.
This merger will help both to save on investments in deploying the infrastructure for optical fibre.
Telecom Italia has already presented the idea of a full-fibre carrier to Open fibre shareholders and analysed the needed funds for the project. It will help both to grow their market without additional costs.
