Who will be responsible for delaying the raw materials delivery due to coronavirus?

If a cargo ship is delayed due to coronavirus can the buyer sue the supplier for not delivering on time? However, there was no force majeure declared in both buyer and supplier countries?

Not enough information provided so cannot give proper guidance. But there could be a lot of factors which can save you from being sued and vice versa. It is better to consult a commercial lawyer to discuss your case details and see which part of the supply chain caused the delay.

I imagine insurance companies would be quite busy in the coming months.

Better to get in touch with your legal advisor. Coronavirus is expecting to bring a lot of havoc to the business world.
