Australia has announced new rules for the automotive industry regarding the data-sharing.

According to the rule, the independent workshops and small private businesses will have equal access to vehicle services and repair information. The law will provide an equal opportunity to small workshops to compete with their rivals.

It will also help customers to repair their cars in any workshop they want rather than going to auto manufacturers own workshops. The AAAA (Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association) strongly supported the law.
