       Difference between browsing and surfing

      Browsing

Browsing is basically a word used for the feeding type of herbivorous animals. The animals included in this category are giraffe, which eats high growing trees, such as leaves.

In the internet world, browsing means searching for something online using a web browser. For browsing something, a person needs to know the address of the website.

In browsing, the searching is quite restricted to a specific entity. Browsing is an easy process and quite fast as compared to surfing, as a person can reach directly to a precise destination.

It is faster, so it consumes less time compared to surfing. Browsing is used for a specific topic, which is why the user can only get information about that precise topic. During browsing, one can get information and knowledge, but it will be quite narrow as compared to surfing.

      Surfing

Surfing is basically used for the water sport, in which the man riding on a surfboard is known as a surfer.

In the smart world, surfing is a type of internet searching in which a person uses search engines, such as Google, to search for some specific entities or topics. In surfing, users do not need to remember the address of the specific website that provides information about the topic.

During surfing a person can search randomly for anything, as the only required thing is the name of the topic or entity. As compared to browsing, surfing is quite difficult and slow, as search engine also returns many irrelevant websites. Due to visiting a lot of irrelevant websites for finding related information, surfing is considered time-consuming. By visiting various websites, a person gets more information about different other topics, which are not related to the required topic.
