So far, there are many new technologies presented at CES 2020 which will change human interaction with machines and smart devices in 2020.

Some of the best technologies presented at CES 2020 are explained below:

      NEON

NEON, which is presented by STAR Labs, is a human-like video Chabot with the ability to show intelligence and emotions. Most of the people confuse it with Bixby or AI assistants, but NEON is a completely different thing. One of the differences is that NEON has no ability to take actions against the commands, such as playing music or movie from the internet. It is composed of Core R3 (reality, real-time, and responsive), use for the responses of NEON, and Spectra, used for the emotions, learning, memory and intelligence.

      Rollable TV

LG launched its OLED (organic light emitting diode) at CES 2020. The OLED has the feature of unfolding from the roof. The rollable feature is added to the R9 series of LG, and the cost for the TV is estimated to be approximately US $ 60,000. It is announced to be commercially available later this year.

The rollable TV is updated with Alpha A9 III chip and also excludes the ATSC 3.0 Tuner, use for the 4K and HDR videos broadcasted by the TV channels is still at its early adoption stage. The Alpha A9 III chips were also used by LG in its other model series which include GX, CX, EX and WX Series.

LG also unveiled LG Signature Series OLED TV R in the 2019 CES event and announced to launch it in 2019, but it never happened. It is likely that both models would be launched together later this year.

      Yoga 5G

The Yoga 5G is a laptop launch by Lenovo in CES 2020. It is considered as the first laptop which will facilitate its users with high-speed connectivity of 5G. Although, Lenovo also launched the concept of Yoga 5G at CES 2019, where it was introduced as Project Limitless, at that time it was under development, and now the final product is almost ready for public use. It is considered as the first laptop which has the ability to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx platform. The platform has in-built ability to connect with 5G connections.

Some of the other features of Yoga 5G include a 2-in-1 ability (roll back the screen to use the laptop as a tablet), 14 inch HD display with IPS (in-plane switching) screen technology, Qualcomm Adreno 680 graphics, the brightness of 400 nits, and has a weight of approximately 1.3kg. The most important feature added to Yoga 5G is the 24 hour battery time, which also makes it unique.

According to company officials, the Yoga 5G will be available for the public in the first quarter of 2020, at US$ 1,499.

      Smart Mailbox

One of the smart gadgets introduced at CES 2020 is a smart mailbox. The smart mailbox is developed by a Canadian company, Danby. The need for the smart mailbox is increased due to the rise in theft of packages from the doorsteps. In the US, police drop fake packages at porches to catch the perpetrators. Danby’s smart mailbox provides a way to keep safe the packages.

To keep the package safe, the mailbox is equipped with a drop-in slot, which is anti-theft. The box can be open through the app, in mobile phones, or code. To open the box remotely, It also has the ability to place a phone call between the customer and the courier. It is also equipped with a camera and motion sensor to track the arrival time of the package.

It is has been publically available in the US since November 2019 for US$ 399 and will be available in the UK in 2020.

      Lexilight Lamp for Dyslexia

Dyslexia is a learning disorder in which the person has difficulty in reading. As in normal person during watching or reading one eye is dominant for focusing and sending signals to the brain. While a person with dyslexia, both eyes sends signals at the same time, which confuse the brain, and according to research published in 2017, dyslexia is due to some patterns of cells in the eye.

To encounter dyslexia problem, Lexilife introduced Lexilight lamp at CES 2020, which can emit the light pulses in a way which makes only one eye focus on something and send the signals to the brain. It is publically available now with the price tag of about US $ 700, and already received orders from three UK’s schools to help their students in reading.
