The Floating power vessels are split into powerships and power barge. Powerships and power barges can provide numerous advantages over traditional forms of power plants due to their flexibility.

A powership vessel is used as a power generating tool and can be used if power is needed in remote or disaster-stricken areas. The power barges are powered by gas turbines, diesel and steam plants for power generation. They can also be linked to local power grids to meet demands temporarily in case of power plants on-site are in short supply or when the construction of new power plants takes time.

Floating Liquid Natural Gas is a power vessel which is installed with all the equipment necessary to liquefy offshore natural gas (LNG). It is an electrically engineered special type vessel ship, which is designed to generate electricity.

Floating LNG (FLNG) power vessels are gaining traction around the world due to its environmentally friendly nature and can produce less carbon emission compared to fossil fuels power generation. Floating LNG power vessel is basically ideal for remote areas with low electricity needs such as small islands, thus helping to address the energy crisis on an urgent basis.

In contrast to land-based power plants, they can be easily relocated for power generation and can provide secure power supply in emergency situations such as earthquakes, floods or any other natural disasters. Such power ships work on the same networks as land-based LNG facilities, which ensures that gas can be shipped closer to the source without laying kilometres of pipes.
