Playing with the virus or playing with fire?

  • 0

Most of us heard about “playing with fire”. However, when I look the way some countries handle coronavirus, it is simply shocking. It can be a matter of luck if they avoid deadly catastrophes.

Even most developed countries like the US and UK initially misjudged the situation. The consequences are now unspeakable with the loss of precious lives and billion dollars bills.

Despite now we have learned much about this invisible enemy, some countries still lack an effective strategy.

Self-isolation, social distancing and home confinement seem to be the only way to fight against the deadly virus. But it is likely that people will also soon get tired of the fight. Lockdown needs to be adequately enforced and can only be lifted with great care.

It is the government responsibility to enforce the law and confine people to their home. Americans have started protesting against the lockdown and so in a few more places.
