How are inverters air conditioners different from non-inverter air conditioners?

  • 0

Air conditioning (often referred to AC, A/C or air con) is a system or a method by which heat and moisture are extracted from inside of the enclosed room to increase the convenience of the inhabitants. They are mostly found in both residential and industrial environments.

Inverter technology is becoming a preferable choice in the air-con market because of better energy efficiency as compared to traditional air conditioners. People around the world still preferred both choices.

Major differences between inverters air conditioners and non-inverter air conditioners

Speed of the compressor or motor:

      • The major difference between the invert AC and non-inverter AC is the compressor speed. The inverter air conditioning system is well known for its innovative technology. The compressor in inverter AC can run at variable speed and can adjust its speed according to required cooling in the room, reducing energy consumption and saving the cost.
      • In comparison, the compressors of the traditional AC run on fixed or stop the cycle and can consume a lot of energy. The motor runs at full speed but will switch off when the room temperature decrease to the optimal temp.

      Usage of filters:

      • Wide ranges of filter are used in inverter air conditioning systems such as carbon, High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) and blu ionic shower filter.
      • Non-inverter AC uses a high standard of filters.

      Noise:

      • Inverter AC does very much quitter and does not produce any noise compared to non-inverters AC because the compressor is fixed and there is no need to turn on and off the compressor. Therefore, they require less power to regulate temperature.
      • A non-inverter AC generates considerable noise due to compressor unit which constantly switch on and off and that why consume a lot of energy. It may also result in heavy maintenance costs.

      Effects on the environment:

      • Non-inverters AC is harmful to the environment as they produce Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) chemical, which is dangerous to the environment.
      • On the other side, the inverters AC are eco-friendly.

      Cooling and heating process:

      • The cooling and heating process in the inverter is faster than non-inverters. This is because the inverter uses more power at the start of the process and decreases the power when it comes nearby the required temperature.

      Cost:

      • Inverters AC is more expensive than the non-inverter air-con because of the use of advanced technology.
      • While the non-inverters AC are budget-friendly and are cheaper compare to inverter AC.
