E-Commerce Migration is Difficult. How to Make it Easy?

  • 0

I need to migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2 as Magento 1 is obsolete now and there is no support anymore. Moreover, Magento 2 offers much better features such as better performance, greater scalability, extensive documentation, and compatibility with thousands of extensions.

But still, I am hesitant to move my store to Magento 2 because I know it will take a lot of time and there is a great chance of data loss. I have been running my store on Magento 1 for almost 3 years and so I have a huge catalog of products and customer data that I can’t afford to lose or be compromised.

I know that to migrate to Magento 2, I have to migrate my current theme, configurations, order, and customer data besides incurring a huge cost. But I also don’t have any other option.

Luckily, after some research, I came across a very helpful extension by FMEextensions to export import orders in Magento 2. The extension helped me extract all my current order data in CSV and import it to the new store in just a few clicks. I was able to extra specific orders based on customer and product names, product SKUs, and dates.

Now, my question is are there any tools/extensions that could help me with theme migration, configurations migration, and other migration steps? Suggest a tool that automates individual step or offers complete migration solution.
