Biden vs Sanders: Who Mr Trump really wish to face in November election?

  • 0

It has widely been cited that Mr Trump wants to face Bernie Sanders in the election. Does he really want that or is he manipulating the primaries election? He may be scared of Sanders but sending the wrong signals?

Trump is scared of Biden. One of the main proof was the Ukraine probe. Trump survived impeachment. Now he got a deadly weapon against Biden. Trump can do the same to Biden as he did to Hilary Clinton over emails. How this would unfold this time, we should wait and see. But Ukraine is going to remain the Achilles heel for Biden.
Trump may be leading Biden to the same fate as was of Hilary Clinton.

A simple analogy is the recent UK election. Jeremy Corbyn vs Boris Johnson (BJ) was on the same position as you could expect Sanders and Trump in the November election. Mr Trump can be a maverick and people may be fed up with his unpredictable behaviour, but they are also scared of Sanders plans. Sanders has been repeating the same mistakes as Corbyn did in the UK.

I am sorry for Sanders that he sees writing on the wall but unable to do anything about it.

If you want to defeat Trump, it has to be Biden, not Sanders. Some voters may not like Biden, but at least people know him, and he can be favoured over Trump.

Biden may not be a better president though at least can be a sensible person compared to Trump.

Brexit in the UK and then a populist president in the US.

The fall of Corbyn in the UK election and now it should be soon the end of Sanders era in the US (even before reaching to the presidential election). Wondering, cannot these two countries learn from each other?

Sanders has missed the opportunity to prove that he could unite the two camps. But he was good in making enemies: the business lobbies, establishment and of course its own party senior and influential members. Probably it was a matter of time for him.
